Back Home

The trip started early Christmas morning with a tired looking me waking up at 6 ish. We eventually left the house at 8 ( I think). I drove until about Campelltown, when dad got annoyed about How I could only do 90 and he wanted to do the limit which was 110km/hr. The next few hours were quite boring we us just driving from sydney to just outside canberra( morning tea break). Then all the way to Jindabyne. The place where we stayed was really nice and spacious. We tried our luck at fishing but that didnt work out so great. It had a wood BBQ which we used the first nite to great effect, the fire was pretty easy to start and the food was great which we had prepared early at home.

The next day started we me exploring how to work a sauna, which was fun spent about 1 hour getting it ready and actually just 15 mins in the sauna. After that we went to threbo took the summer chairlift up to the top then walked for about 30 mins to Mt Kosiusko lookout. I wanted to climb it all but it was going to take too long and I think it would have been pretty cold up there.

Never eat at the restaurant at the top of the summer chairlift. They are very rude. We were going on the trip with another family who had two elderly grandparents who couldnt walk the 4 km to the lookout so they sat in the cafe/restaurant and had coffee and wedges. The Guy was soo pushy that after they had immediately finished, he was trying to push them out the door and then he said if you want to stay its $30 for half an hour. So rude and considering they had already spent about $40 there on food. They also had a small child with them and there is no other structure at the top only that cafe.

After that we had lunch in Jindabyne again and we went to Charlottes Pass for another lookout. It was a long drive but still well worth the effort. That nite we had a lite pasta dinner and then I played cards until 2 am. I converted two people to the ways of 500. The best game in the world.

Today morning we got up we ate we ;left the house and drove here. It was a great trip, got to see the snowy mountains. Now on to the next roadtrip. See how the planning goes. Most prolly we will plan nothing and just run around like crazy headless chickens and have fun. 3-5 guys jumping around port macquarie.

Christmas Eve

Well, Ill be off tomorrow on my trip, see how it goes. It might be good it might not be, depending on the weather. Today is my final chance to right the christmas emails, I should get around to it. As we are heading off early tomorrow morning, we thought we would open the present yesterday nite, I got the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, pretty good. Ill be watching that next week :D.

Rooms still a mess should clean it before I leave, Dad has lost his keys so he woke me up this morning shouting and screaing. This is always fun when a middle aged man comes into your room screaming where are my keys. NYE seems to be planned rite no, I think, see how it goes in the end I think.

Been playing with the new digital camera, somehow the windows driver isnt working and the camera isnt been recognised. Strange. Downloading new drivers now..hmm hope it works.

Airport Bittorrent

Firstly, today wasnt a real hot day but rite now the room isnt cooling down much, annoying much more than anything. I just went to the Airport to pick up my dad, that was a pain cos the M5 in Sydney was closed today due to some computer glitch and so there was a traffic jam of sorts coming back. Just took me longer to get back, and some how I had a really bad headache. Grr... Annoyed. I chickened/lazied out of giving blood today. I dont know why I just didnt feel like given blood today. Strange I have been putting it off cos I didnt want to do it during exams etc so I thought I would try today, but it did not happen.

Second point of the day is that Bit Torrent is coming crashing down. over 10 major sites (at last count) have been either forced or voluntarily shut down. There is a joke/word of wisdom going around that every nsince this has happened the net has sped up a bit especially when accessing overseas webpages from Australia.

I Just watched carnivale...its good a definate sunday thing unlike repeats of CSI and some other crime series (one of the Law and Orders). The acting, writing, directoring was all great and they used the special effects properly, unlike some shows where it is over used. The story so far is interesting and I want to see how it continues...its a HBO series and so pushes a few boudaries...sexuality mainly. From the little searching on the web it will be a returning series and so I hope ABC is kind enough in Australia pick it up again (if I continue to like it).

Other TV on tonite was Australia's Brainiest Kid (ABK), which is always funny and interesting. The biggest point being 7 was completely between in the ratings this year and then a pull out a ratings winner the first day of the off season. :P Although I hate the host of the show. She has a very robotics voice and her movements always look too rehearsed. I think I hate alot of female hosts I dont know why, I dont like Gretal from Big Brother or the host of Australia's funniest video show (because of her I stopped watching it).

Went Christmas shopping today, had alot of fun and now exhausted. I (along wiht my parents) got my sister an MP3 player aswell as getting my dad a blower/vac for the garden. My present should be the Lord of the Rings Trilogy but its sold out everywhere. Hmm shopping is always exhausting and very tiring. On that point I dont know how guys can work in Spotlight, as soon as I walk into that store I feel tired and start yawning, maybe after a while you get used to it? :D
