Long time no Blog

Well I have had a jam packed week and so didnt have much time to blog but I thought I should blog...and Im going on yellow-Camp (Yellow shirt traing camp). Which means my nex blog will be on Sunday nite when Im really tired and mumbling.

Ok Monday was boring as usual did nothign work etc, went home watched nothing went to bed nice and early. Tuesday was fun work was interestring, I couldnt do much but yeah work is always fun. After workI went to my Swaud leaders place and we made our costumes, details revealed later as if I told you I would have to hunt you down ( by using IP tracking) and kill you. The costumes are great and really funny.

Wednesday was my babysitting day - family friends were over and so I had to baby sit the kids. The food was good as always mum cooks for liek a whoel day for these lunches. I saw Hewitt's match last nite which was entertaining. packed last nite which was another "fun experience", After three short trips this summer I think I can pack in about 10 mins. Its quick and easy the AJ way.

I also made mountain dew and coke icy poles which are great and should be sold nationwide.

Today I am at work again and will be heading off to my squad leader's place to finsih off the costumes and sleep hopefully more than 4 hours.

A 5 year old bday and no power

Yesterday the most important thing to happen was the family friends dinner I went to where it was their sons birthday. It was an ok evening..Wasnt too bored....Everything seemed to go ok. Pretty average but maybe that was just cos I was tired from the week.

Today I was woken up at 7:30am by thunder. There was a huge thunderstrom happening near my house. It took out the power, and we were left without electricity for 5 hours. This was a bit of a pain but it made the house work quicker. :P I am bored rite now, just won the world cup in Cricket 2002. Its a descent game. Definate look if you like cricket. Carnivale just rapped up its first season in australia hopefully ABC brings it again from season two which has just started in the US. Apprentics 3 has just started in US as well. I am so glad that channel 7 is bringing Amazing Race again. Its so good. We will be about 10 eps behind the US hopefully Channel 7 have some double eps! Even better considering I have no nite classes that day. My wednesdays are gone soon as I have a lecture from 6-9pm. Enough Rambling for now...Need to sleep for work tmr!

Work Like a Dog

Yesterday was a fun day, the first day in just over a month where I had to wake up before 6. It was interesting the feeling of being tired but full of energy early in the morning, then falling (well trying to fall) asleep on the train and bus on the way to work. When I got to work, I said my Hi's then it was time for the regular meeting which took 2 hours instead of 1. The day progressed along quite quickly. I ended up home and watched Fight Club which was an interesting movie to say the least. I think I would have enjoyed it more if a) i didnt know that Brad Pitt didnt exist and b) I saw it when it first came out as I think alot of movies have copied it. Edward Norton is becoming one of my favorite Actors. The man can act and he chooses good roles. I found him very surreal in American History X.

Today was much more of the same waking up at 6, I got alot of sleep on the way to work (i think). Work was a pain I had to reinstall a program that took a few hours to install. This was quite boring I jsut hope it works tmr.

There was something else I wanted to say but I have forgotten it. I wanted to whinge about something... Cant remember oh well thank you lucky stars...

Saturdays are for shopping and lazying about

Saturdays now have permenantly become my days of waste, I did nothing which was good. I rested and that was about it. I went to dinner with family for my sister's bday which was ok we went to Ashfield RSL for the buffet there which sucked. It should have been better for the price they charged us but its Ashfield. The Chinese food was very dry and the fried food was well oily. It was an ok nite but could have been better esp the food.

Sunday was fun, I went over to a friend's place to swap movies and tv shows. I watched Joey (all 14 eps) last nite. Its a good series with good writing. Definately one to watch out for.

I am at work again to start my second 3 week stint. Need to save all the money I get so I can get either a really cheap car or a good laptop. Hope it works out in the end. I just found out I am a Tent for the next month! I was going to be either a tent or a castle, I didnt neither mind which one I was as both were great. I am talking about Yellow Shirts and Oweek! I shall see my new squad soon. Friday ....be at uni early day.... see what happens.

Open Rain Cinemas

Ok Tonite I went out with my Double Squad for Oweek Yellow Shirts ( Yes I am doing it again and thank you I did get selected again). It was St George Open Air Cinema in Mrs Macquarie Point/Chair. It was great fun although the rain was bit disconcerting along wiht the lightning and that we were sitting 10 to 20m away from a big metal sheet. I can't believe though it didnt rain much (just a bit here and there) during the movie. The rain was so polite. The Movie btw was the Bourne Supremacy. It is a good movie, the car and fight scenes have really bad camera work with it shaking and moving about so much that you need to close your eyes. All in all it was good to meet and see again the people I will have to spend 5 continuous days with. Oh the sleep deprevation! Im kidding, I always kid when I whinge. Sometimes I think I may be a bit too good an actor and people get the wrong idea! :P

Finally some fun:
1. Go to http://mappoint.msn.com/DirectionsFind.aspx
2. Start: Norway, City: Haugesund. End: Norway, City: Haukeligrend
3. Hit "Get Directions" Hmm, interesting!
4. Go back to first page, Change route type from quickest to shortest
5. Hit "Get Directions"

Twenty 20 Cricket, and Friends what are they good for?

The game I wacthed today again was another one sided duel with Australia A kicking Pakistan by 50 runs which is a huge amount in that game. Come on its 20 overs, although Pakistan scored at more than 6 an over whihc means it wasnt a complete failure. The game was entertaining in parts. Boring in others. Seemed like a typical One dayer. Hopefulyl tomorrows ond dayer between aus and WI will be better.

More importantly, had a major argument with one fo my friends about somehting that happened 4 months ago. It seems stupid but I thin I must have had it on my minds and it prolly was deeply buried. I cant understand riends. Each one is so different. I said some hurtful things this arvo and my friend did aswell. I think anything said this arvo was said in anger. I dont know, the friendship is prolly coming to an end, which is always sad but what can you do, one of my other friends just sais, friendship is a two way street. I will have to think about it, hopefully things work out but I always thing you cant ever go backwards in a friendship or a relationship, you always go into new areas, whether it is worse off than before or better. You need see things through.

Anyway Talk later

TV Shows

I like Tv Shows, but I cant wait for them to come out in australia sometimes over 1-2 years delayed. The TV networks in America should should put up streaming tv shows on the web with the ads included like what they do for survivor videos. They make you sit through an ad before you get to see the extra videos from the show. This is a great idea that way the Network will still get their money and we will also get the tv shows when we want. The other benefit is to australian film industry as we will be wanting to watch stuff we didnt already see over the web the stuff on our networks will be australian content. I think this would also stop the downloading of shows (to some extent) as there would be a legal way to watch them. IF it was quicker aswell this would work.

Anyway thats my two cents.

Bronte Beach, World Cricket, And stuff

Sorry for not writing in a while.

Saturday, I bummed around and the most important thing I did was shave. This is pretty important since I should shave often or it hurts and takes alot of time when I really need to shave as I need ot go out or something. This is really stupid and one of the big downside of being a man - shaving. You think at first its good that you need to shave, it shows you are becoming a man but in the end its annoying and boring and takes up to 30 mins of your day. I dont want to give up 10% of the rest of my life shaving it seems so dull.

Sunday I went to Bronte Beach, for Yellow shirt Beach Day. It was fund, I got to meet new people and catch up with some others I hadnt seen in a while. The worst thing of the day was I got burnt on my cheeks. GRRRR.... Its stupid I wasnt even in the sun for that long maybe one or two hours. I no I no I shouldnt complain but yeah annoying when you normally dont get burnt. One other thing, I need to remember to ask Kate if her birthday is tmr, if it is she shares her bday with my sister, which is kinda crazy.

The World Cricket Tsunami Appeal was great interms of rasing money and helping the disadvantaged out, but it sucked as a cricket match as it was one sided and either the Asian side was completely out classed or the pitch was turning alot more in the second half. It was good and decent but I have to say that the Asian team need a few big hitter int he lower order and Ganguly should be dropped from both Asia and India as captain. He is not good in a run chase when there isnt a big hitter with him. He cant run runs, just run outs. Seriously Tendulkar as captain!

Today was a day of driving, driving here and to lidcombe and some other places. I wasted today aswell which was fun. Still havent decided my preferences on these yet.

Hot and Hot

Another day another waste, I should do some work etc like email companies and stuff. I shouldnt waste time. I watched SAW today. Another movie which I built up too much. It was good for the australian duo to get such a good film up off the ground as their first. The directing from James Wan was good and will definately improve. He used alot of good transitions between scenes. The twist I did not see coming as I didnt give enough credit to writers. A stellar script which was made into a very good movie. Some finishing required but all in all worth seeing.

I am considering going to the beach tmr, see what happens. I need transport there which is a trouble as both family cars are in use tmr. Should go shower now and so a short post today.

Boredom Set In

Bored Nored Cored Dored... Seeing how many words look real. This is the state of boredom I am in rite now. I surfed some survivor sites for intel on new survivors. Its crazy how committed these guys are, some get notice of tender etc from the "council" to prove where the next survivor is.

Yesterday was much the same, cept I got to see a few family friends who I hadnt seen in 10 years or something like that. Its kinds weird for me cos I have the mental image of them being really tall as I was like 9 at the time, but now since I have grown and they havent, its weird seeing them shorter than me. Another curious twist to life I see.

The worst thing about this boredom is that I no when I start work again, Ill be wishing for a day off!

Till next time

Road Trip Part 3

Today was another uneventful day, I wasted time in the morning, didnt have a proper lunch and no breakfast. Wasted the arvo and here I am now. I need to do some work to get a few things lined up. Anyway back to the Trip - Part 3

Day 3: 1st January
I awoke at 6 am again to see that I had received another SMS, this one was from india, I could tell by the international extension ( 91). I thought it was from one of my friends in india as there was no name. Later, as charles received it aswell, I realised it was from one of my friends here in sydney who had gone over there. She thought that most people would not have any relations in india and so realise it was here straight away!

After we had checked out of the cabin at 10:30, we had decided to go go-karting. It was inbetween Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. We drove there by about lunch time and so got some fluids into us and went out onto the track. It was the best fun I have ever had, in terms of entertainment. My hands were sore for 2 days after the experience. It is so good I want to do it again as soon as possible.

After the racing experience which literally left me shaking I played some mini golf, where I creamed Charles and Eugene. After that we went to coffs harbour, checked in and had a wander around the beaches until it became dark. Then we went looking for food and ended up at a cinemas. We had dinner as we had just missed a screening of Meet the Fockers. I had a Fettuccine with Mariana Sauce. I didnt like it cos it contained too much seafood but the restaurant was nice. We went to the movie after dinner. The movie was great. There was a nite club next to the cinemas and we thought that might have been open but it wasnt, so we just went back to the motel. We wanted to finish off the bottle of vodka (which was 2/3 full) which we did. We again played cards, had laughs and went to sleep.

Day 4: 2nd January
We checked out at 10:45, went to a beach and walked around for 90 mins. We did a bit of shopping until 12:30, thats when we left Coffs for Sydney. We got to Port Macquarie turn off at 2:45, had a bit of lunch and left by three. We then had another break near a own starting with Bud- ending in dalah. I remember this as this is when the traffic jam started. We got really bored in the traffic jam that we started playing games. The thing was most of the road was single laned but once in a while an overtaking lane would come. This would shake things up a bit and which lan would oyu choose the left or the right(we quickly found out the left lane was moving quicker). The choosing of the lanes and seeing which lane move faster became a race. We had a few cars which we kept seeing. There was HIP (which was named as that was its number plate), PUMP'N ( as it as a PUMP'N logo on the back windscreen), Evil Rav4 (as it didnt let us in back into the right lane when merging ), and Puppet Show ( as the kids where doing a puppet show in the back with their toys). The experienced PUMPN showed us the way by choosing the left lane. After that we never looked back and we kept going ahead and ahead. The fun ended when the RTA started blocking up the overtaking lanes. The first ones the blocked were using plastic markers, which some impatient drivers had knocked over and/or completely destroyed by running over them. We did our duty as citizens by getting out of the car and putting a SINGLE traffic cone back up right.

It took us 2 and a half hours to get through the jam which lasted 40 kms. After that we reached Newcastle by about 8 had a snack there had head to Sydney. We got to my suburb by 10 but the guys said we want dinner before we drop you so I didnt get home until about 11.

And thats the end.

Part 2

My entry of the trip will continue below, but first yesterday was my dad's birthday so we went out of dinner today. The food was descent with the price they charged. I have had better but I wasnt feeling too good and so my eating was down a bit I think. I dont know what I ate yesterday that caused it. The salad or the ham and cheese bun (you will find out later)from the trip maybe.

Just watched Rebel Billionaire. Still attached to it although some nit picking: Richard's choice every episode some time contradicts what we see in the show. Also all the people that I want to go dont go. I have watched about 4/6 shows so far and each time the person whom I wanted to stay gets booted. Annoying. I may stay with it until the end. Onto other Real. TV, I just heard that Chip and Kim won the million on the amazing race. Its quite funny that survivor polls more viewers every season but The Amazing race wins all the awards.

Ok, I no you have been waiting on it so here it is - The Trip:Part 2

Day 2: 31 December

I woke up at 7, I dont know why, my body clock is annoying and stupid sometimes. I tried to get back to sleep but couldnt. The plan was to wake up at 8-8:30 and get out of there by 9:30. I got out of bed at 7:50, and went to lie on the unused queen bed. After lazing about some more, I went for a shower in the worlds smallest bathroom. I had my yummy breakfast of a uncle tobys muesli bar and packed up. We left the cabin at about 9:30. The Information center was pretty useful, we found out alot of things plus booked a boat cruise for NYE (that nite). After that we went bowling (we wasted alot of money I would say on food and activities we could do in sydney). After Bowling we decided to check out all the beaches in P.M. They were quite good. Some quite busy others not so. We checked in to our cabin in the new motel which was quite a drive from the town center. This was quite annoying which meant we had to get a taxi in that nite cos we would be celebrating the New Year. After Checking in to our huge cabin (we could have slept 10-12 people easily in there. This would have been quite fun, if you guys reading would have come. You know who you are), we went to Flynn's beach and sat in the sand for about 2 hours ( i think), then went back to the cabin, where Eugene slept, while charles and I got ready for the nite. Dinner was Chinese (fake chinese according to me), Charles the official chinese person said the food was quite good. It was quite expensive aswell. It cost something like $48 for three dishes and some rice. Of the three dishes the Rice (plain steamed rice) finished first.

I called up the taxi service to get a taxi for 8:20 so we would be 20 minutes early for the boat cruise which started at 9. A funny thing happened, I insulted the phone operator. I am sorry, (I think). I told her all the information about where, when and how many people there were, but she asked all the questions again. SO I told her that I already told her all this information and she got quite angry with me. After I put the phone down, I realised this wasnt the best path to tread, as she had told me that the taxi service was heavily booked and that we may be delayed. We didnt want to be delayed too much or else we would missed the boat. The taxi did arrive on time thankfully, (I think she wasnt too upset at what I said, I also could hear her talking over the radio in the taxi, which made me embarrassed slightly), the driver was charming and we gave him a $4 tip on the $16 fare. He was very happy and easy to talk to.

We got to the wharf at about 8:40 and just before we board the ship we watched all these middle aged people board the ship. All three of us were thinking "Are we on the right boat?". We waited, we discussed and definitely argued about the pros and cons of staying and going. We decided not to waste the $25 and go on the trip. It turned out to be a great decision. We had alot of fun on the trip and enjoyed it all. There was a bit of dancing a bit of drinking (champagne is funny stuff) and alot of phone use - sms, calling etc. After the boat cruise finished, we headed into Roxy's for a bit more fun. The place was packed, ( a cover charge of 15, which went to 20 by the time we left). We had a few drinks. Eugene and Charles were getting a bit drunk and so we left the place. We head back to the cabin, but had to wait for a taxi for about 30 mins. By the time we got there it was 3 ish. We decided to go for a walk along the beach to see the stars. We got back to the cabin at 4am. Then decided to sleep, well we talked again but I kept falling asleep.

Back Home Again: Road Trip Part 1

Firstly Happy New Year! I left Sydney again to go on a roadtrip with 2 friends. It was supposed to be more but the trip in the end was a success. I am going to split this huge entry into atleast 2 parts seeing its about 1 here and I need sleep but I couldnt go to sleep before writing down some stuff. So here goes:

Day -1 and 0: 28th and 29th December
A rush of things happened. Robin dropped out of the road trip for some reason which was not made clear to me. We book the first two days accommadation of the road trip. And we were still running around like chickens with our heads chopped off. It was quite fun the long msn chats session we had the week coming up to the trip, each increase our tension with each other and making us more and more nervous. I left packing for the 30th as I was lazy and had just unpacked my clothes from the christmas trip.
Day 1: 30th December
The plan was to leave my place by about 11 and get to Port Macquaire by hopefully 4 maybe 5. Go to the beach lie around until dinner time eat then go scouting for what to do for NYE. Eugene and Charles got to my place at 1ish and then we decided to have lunch 10 mins from my house at KFC. So Technically I didnt leave my suburb until 2 a whole 3 hours late. The trip up there was ok. There was little to no traffic and Eugene drove most of the way. Charles drove I think the last 1hour and a bit. The mp3 player, with my comp speakers with rechargeable batteries to make them loud worked like a charm (after I had to learn how to switch them on as they were slightly..well more that slightly.. broken). We got to P.M. at about 6:45, all we could do then was check into our cabin which was ok and go to town. We had dinner in a quaint restaurant, it was good. The pizza was decent and the lamb was great. I have to say maybe the pizza was a bit overpriced for what they served, I have had better for cheaper other times. After Dinner we went into a few dead nite clubs (2 - Roxy's and Down Under). Roxy's was made famous by the Bulldogs affair. It was quite dead and the atmosphere was disturbing there were 20 guys in the club at about 11pm at nite and no girls. It was a Thursday nite but NYE was tomorrow. So we went back to the cabin had a few drinks and played cards til about 2:30 when Eugene fell asleep. I went to bed at about 3:45, but woke up 2 hours later at 6 am for no reason. Annoying Body clock.
